FAIRFAX, Va. – The U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) Systems Command has selected InfoReliance, a leading information technology (IT) consulting firm, to play a key role in finding new ways to optimize productivity. InfoReliance was awarded a $6.3 million contract to provide support and enhancement for Legacy Manpower Models, the planning system that helps the USMC to manage critical manpower processes and career progression for the Total Force.

Legacy Manpower Models, a specialized suite of planning models and assignment tools, allow the USMC’s Manpower and Reserve Affairs (M&RA) department to properly plan, budget for, and manage its manpower requirement. The Models have an impact on every manpower issue—from the number and skill sets of Marines recruited, to assignment decisions that meet the Marine Corps’ missions—and serves several manpower divisions including Personnel Management, Manpower Plans and Policies, and Reserve Affairs.

InfoReliance has more than 11 years of experience in the development and support of several systems within the USMC’s M&RA department. The contract represents a critical win for InfoReliance who will extend its services and support throughout the entire USMC manpower department. For delivery of services, InfoReliance has partnered with Decision Systems Applications, Inc. (DSAI), the company who developed the original Models system more than 40 years ago.  The partnership will ensure a smooth transfer of knowledge from the original developers to the USMC systems team.
