Client: U.S. Department of Agriculture
Project Name: Consumer Complaint Monitoring System II
Leveraging Technology to Protect the Nation’s Food Supply
Overview
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Food Safety and Inspection Service selected InfoReliance to design, build and deploy the Consumer Complaint Monitoring System II (CCMS II) – a modernized technology solution to record, evaluate and track all consumer food complaints reported to USDA.
Leveraging advanced analytical algorithms, the system features automated, electronic alerts of suspicious events, intelligent recognition of unusual activity, and broad food safety event collection through real-time, Web-based technologies. By enabling a new kind of deep data analysis, CCMS II improves USDA’s ability to detect the introduction of biosecurity threats or food hazards, and plays a vital role in America’s early warning system for food supply safety.
