Automating Workforce Planning Through Human Capital Management
Overview
The U.S. Marine Corps Commandant turned to InfoReliance to re-engineer the Corps’ general officer slating – or assignment – process, an important exercise that assigns 85 general officers into new “billets,” or job openings.
Because the previous process was not automated, the slating team had to resort to manual searches of hard copy resumes and spreadsheets. InfoReliance partnered closely with the Marines to build an automated, Web-based General Officer Slating Application (GOSA) that would solve the slating team’s business challenges and incorporate rich analytical capabilities.
Today, the Web-based system is a searchable, gold source data repository that has systematized the general officer slating process.
